Rescue Helicopter Lands in Selma for Chicot Deputy Sheriff
August 23rd, 2012 by Joe BurgessWednesday around 6:30 pm, Air-Evac landed a rescue helicopter at Selma’s Rosenwald School to pick up a 52 year old Chicot County deputy sheriff, who had fallen, while working on a 10 ft. deer stand, on his day off.
The deputy reportedly suffered broken arms, but was not in a life-threatinin condition. No report was available this morning.
This was Air-Evac Lifestream’s fourth “on scene” rescue in Drew County. The other included
an early morning Black Friday landing on HWY 278 East in 2009,
a log truck crash on HWY 35 East, and
an ATV wreck, near Lacey.
