At Thursday night’s city council meeting, Finance Director Kimberly Fletcher’s report brought out several major accomplishments that our city has achieved.

The Gaster Hill project has been completed, and is “paid in full”.  This includes the water tank and pumping station, in the northwest section of Monticello.

In conversation after the meeting, she also mentioned that the Sports complex is “paid in full” also.  “Including land, fixtures, and all improvements.”

Finance Director Fletcher added, “we are debt-free as far as projects that the city council has started, finished, and budgeted.”  She continued, “We’ve been able to reach this goal due to the efforts of all 3 of our mayors; Harold West, David Anderson, and current mayor, Joe Rogers.”
