Remember to Make Posters and Signs Today, for the SUPPORT OUR TROOPS Rally Thursday Night
Published by Joe Burgess January 1st, 2008 in Military. As Monticello is getting ready for our community-wide SUPPORT OUR TROOPS rally Thursday night, today would be a great time to make posters and signs that say things like “U.S.A.”, “WE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS”, “39TH”, and “GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.”.
All Drew County residents are invited to come out to the rally Thursday night, at the First Assembly of God Church, on HWY 425 North, as we all surround the driveway and highway as Monticello’s Arkansas National Guard 39th Support Battalion is honored with a fish fry, provided by Monticello’s business and community leaders, and served by dozens of local volunteers, as they prepare for their trip to Shelby, Mississippi, before being deployed to Iraq.
Thursday’s event begins around 5:30 p.m., so bring those signs and banners, and flags to wave, as Monticello shows them that we SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.
