Saturday, at 3:45 PM, the driver of this GMC Yukon, traveling towards Monticello by the I530 intersection, near Wilmar, lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the north ditchbank.
The vehicle struck a driveway, becoming airbound, before landing and flipping, multiple times.
The driver was transported to DMH by MASI.
ASP, assisted by Drew County Sheriff Deputies, worked the crash scene.Reggies removed the wrecked vehicle.
The bottom vehicle, a Nissan Maxima, was traveling north on Highway 425, north of Montongo, when it ran off the east shoulder, striking a culvert and becoming airbound. As you can see in the bottom photo, it struck a 6 inch tree, severing it, before coming to a stop in the wooded area.
Rangel Towing removed the vehicle. MASI transported the victim to Drew Memorial.
