Rape & Sex Assault Charges Facing Local 37 Year Old

A local 37 year old man was arrested by the Drew County Sheriff Dept. for the alleged rape of a local teenager and the sexual assault of another.
Jay Webb, of the Florence community, will likely to be charged with one count each of rape and sexual assault, following an investigation by the DCSO, based on two separate incidents that occurred in the county.
Both victims are teenage females.
The rape occurred in April. The assault took place this weekend.
Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson set Webb’s bond at $50,000.
The investiagion is still in progress.
