Rain & Wrecks
August 30th, 2012 by Joe Burgess
Around 7 am, two single vehicle accidents were reported to MPD dispatch.
A Ford pick–up traveling west on Old Dermott Road, met another vehicle, causing his rear wheel to fall off of the pavement. The driver was not injured. A Drew County Sheriff’s Deputy worked the wreck.
As the deputy was arriving on the Old Dermott Road scene, another wreck was reported in Dead Man’s Curve on HWY 278 East. A Ford Escort, traveling east, lost control on the wet roadway, and spun around, coming to a stop in the ditch. That driver was also uninjured. An Arkansas State Trooper worked that accident.
