Quorum Court Agrees to Donate Land for the Public Facility Board / DMH Assisted Living Project
January 26th, 2012 by Mandy MossThe Quorum Court unanimously agreed to pass an ordinance allowing Drew County to donate land for the Public Facility Assisted Living Project. The 3.81 acres of land will be used to build a 40 bed facility to be located at Ross Drive and Old Warren Road.
Drew Memorial Hospital would take over the assisted living facility and oversee its operations.
County Attorney Cliff Gibson told the Court that this is a good way to get revenues to support the project without having to raise taxes. It is the same process in which the Ridgeway project was funded.
