have they forgot the water pipes for the east in? that need to be fix!
there are a few questions not clear at the moment. first the location they want to build this center on is at the college. the college has implied that they will donate the land for the building. ok if this building where to be built. who will be the owner of the land and building? will it be the property of Drew County? will it be the property of the city of Monticello? or will it be the property of the College? next why do we need this building? the public is not demanding it be built. seems the only people that want this building is the College and a few select higher class people here in the county. also why the need for a special election? there is a normal election coming next year. or is the reason so as to get this tax passed by just the few that want it? every one knows that is what a special election is for. it has been said this building will bring in revenue for the county. well was that not the purpose of the industrial park? also the pellet plant that is or is not coming? the people of this county have been promised a lot when it comes to economic change but the only thing we seem to get is the bill by way of more tax. you can count more industry that has left Drew county then has come in. when will WE the people stop being a cash cow for failed plans that only help the select few.
