I’ve known this man my entire life and he is as trustworthy and hardworking a man that anyone will ever find. He puts his heart into anything that he truly believes in and that is why the voters of Ward 2 should vote for him. He will be an excellent change and a good move in the right direction. He’s been a dedicated husband for 42 years, a father for 40 years, and a Monticellonian for too many years to count so he is definitely ready to serve his community. I want everyone to know that he is also my Dad and I’m very proud of him for wanting to help his town by running for this position.

My daughter has always respected and liked Gary. I trust her judgement of character and integrity. My personal experance knowing Gary echo’s my daughter’s beliefs. Gary will be a good supportable choice.

Most people know him as “The Breadman,” but I know him as Daddy. My experience knowing him has been invaluable. His life consists of God first, wife second and children third. He has acquired a vast amount of new ideas to help the growth of Monticello while working in the public. He knows what the people of Monticello want. A vote for Gary is a vote for the growth of Monticello.

This is all good, but what kind of experience does “breadman” have besides putting bread on shelves, and running his mouth at the coffee shop. And what about education? Did he finish highschool? And also, what personal gain is he talking about? What is his personal gain. Monticello needs someone with more experience, other than just running their mouth.

Sounds to me like youre pretty good at running your mouth too. There are intelligent ways to present your questions and concerns. Where did you get your education?

Do you have a diploma? Pretty sure he does!

He’s been in this world for 60 years and dealt with alot of people throughout his 40 some odd years delivering bread, what about you?

Ever think that he may be listening at the coffee shop instead of “running his mouth”? (You may need to take a lesson or two on that)

Why does someone have to get “personal gain” from something? He might just want to help his community.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but don’t be rude and insult someone because you have a bad opinion…he is someone’s father, brother, son, and husband..how would you like it if someone downed your son? father? etc…

Please keep the comments intelligent and not so nasty. Grow up…

    To the “concerned dude:”

There are certain ways to present your ideas and opinions about things, and the way you addressed your concerns was very out of line. Years of experience and mere common sense is what is needed for this job, not necessarily a high school or college diploma. You’re pretty good at trying to point out people’s faults, but I’m sure you have plenty yourself. We’re all entitled to our opinions, but what we shouldn’t do is direct mean, juvenile comments towards others and attack them on a personal level. Gary Pruitt is a well-known, respected man in this town. He has the city of Monticello in his best interest and I have confidence in him that if elected he will help to improve and better our town. I, along with many others, support him one hundred percent!

In regards to “The Concerned Dude”:

It is to my utmost disappointment our society has stooped as low as you have. You have presented your own ideology without noticing your own negative traits. Have you thought (which by your language, I can assume not) that many political leaders had no previous experience? I doubt very seriously since you are using the slang “dude” and forgot to put a space after the last comma in your unceasing rambling. Did you know Mr.Education you look very fatuous in your accusations with these types of judgements. It is apparent by your tone, Mr. Pruitt must have wronged you in some way. If so, I applaude him for his strong beliefs and letting others know his views on life. How childish of you to accuse someone of wasting time at a coffee shop and how would you know this information, if not for being there yourself. I believe you probably weren’t in attendance at his time of alleged running of the mouth. You may have seen his truck there, but that proof doesn’t necessarily mean he’s talking. He is probably listening…. to the ideas and views of fellow Monticellonians. Before you become self-righteous and judge, get off of your own self-built pedestal and take a look in the mirror. While you’re there, you can remove your foot from your mouth. Good day!

Well, I guess you told me . Apparently its ok to make mistakes in your writing on here, just as long as you say what everyone wants to hear. I think you people are tring to make a big deal out of certain comments, I guess if i said what you wanted to hear everything would be just fine.Is there a reason you people are so defensive? Just as you said i was giving my view on life, do you applaude me?

No, you don’t have to agree but we now know who you are because all I had to do was click on the first “concerned dude” and it showed up your parents email address! Guess you don’t want anyone to know that you are divorced from one of his kids and that is the reason for the negative comments, huh?

More computer knowledge would help in disguising your identity!

    God loves you anyway!!!

  12. 12 concerned dude

Like i said this is my opinion, just like everyone else i deserve to have one. I know this man and i dont believe he would be a good choice. And i am sure that god loves us all
