Prosecution Questions Defendant On Weed & Events – Defense Rests

Prosecutor Frank Spain then asked Vincent where he got the weed and how much he paid for it. He couldn’t remember how much he paid for it, and eventually remembered he got the weed from a friend.
Vincent said that he hadn’t violated any traffic laws, but admitted to smoking weed and drinking alcohol, after work.
The state asked Vincent why he felt Wells Road was a safer place than his parents’ home. He said it wasn’t, but was worried about his parents safety.
He, shortly after admitted to throwing the camouflage bag out of his vehicle.
When asked about the $4,109 in the bag, he answered it was from work and pizza delivery tips.
After a few questions from the defense lawyer, the state asked Vincent where he got his prescription for marijuana; he replied that there’s no legal way to do so.
The defense then called a professor, a coach, a relative, and a couple of employers to use as personal references for Vincent.
The state usually didn’t question their statements, except to asking their relationship affected him running from the police or obeying the law, which usually drew a “don’t know” or an “I was just asked about his character,”
The defense rested their case before the court took lunch.
