Traffic passing by this older model Chevy pick-up saw smoke coming out from under it’s hood, near the intersection of HWY 425 North & N. Hyatt Street, and called the fire dept, shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday.

As it turns out, the vehicle was just “really overheating”, according to someone nearby.

The Monticello Fire Dept. responded with a pumper-truck, the rescue unit, and several members.
