Monticello Police are investigating two break-ins at Fred’s Discount Store over the weekend.

After the store’s closing Friday night, a break-in occurred, with entry being gained into the manager’s office.  At this time, there is no report of any items being stolen.

The very next night, Saturday after closing, another break-in took place.  This time the intruders were able to enter the pharmacy, but at this point there is no evidence of anything being taken. 

Entry to the building was gained in the same manner on both nights.

There is a possibly, although unconfirmed, that these cases may be related to a couple of “dollar store” break-ins in the Lake Village area, which also took place over the weekend.

The investigation, as well as an inventory, is currently underway.
