Karen Hyatt Named State Consultant To Arkansas Nursing Students’ Association

Karen Hyatt, Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has been selected to serve a two-year term as a state consultant on the board of directors of the Arkansas Nursing Students’ Association (ANSA). Former Resident Backpacked The Pacific Crest Trail

Jeremy Weih completed backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail at the end of September. Having started in May, he spent 133 continuous days hiking 2652 miles from the Mexican border in California, through the Sierra Nevada mountains and into the Cascade Mountains in Oregon and Washington to the border of Canada where this picture was taken.

County Sanitation Route Change

Starting the week of November 12th, 2018 our Trash Route will again be Monday – Friday. We will no longer work a 4 day route. Friday routes will again be picked up on Friday. Thank you for your cooperation as we tried the new schedule, and please be patient as we convert our routes back to the original schedule.

UAM Announces Two Upcoming One-Act Operas

Today the University of Arkansas at Monticello Music Theater Workshop announced it will present two one-act operas, The Old Maid and the Thief by Gian-Carlo Menotti and A Little Nightmare Music by P. D. Q. Bach. The performance will begin at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday, November 16th and 17th at the UAM Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Both one-act operas will be performed both nights. Admission is free for UAM students, faculty and staff as well as children under 12. Tickets for students 12 through high school cost $5; adults $10. Read the rest of this entry »

1:30 am Update – 14 of 17 Precincts Counted, Election Results

Tuesday night construct computer and printer problems shut the ballot counting towels down multiple times, during the night. After using a jump drive to transfer end of night totals to a separate computer/printer, totals were printed.

Please consider that used to be an official, until final decisions are made by the election commission.
