It is with great regret and sadness that we inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague Sgt. AC Simpson, Jr.
AC was full time with the Drew County Sheriff’s Department since August 2001; however, his career began as an auxiliary deputy in 1985.
The family of AC will be honoring his request; therefore, there will be no funeral service.
We will continue to lift AC’s entire family up in prayer.
He will truly be missed by his family, friends, this department and this community.

Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services gratefully accepted a grant from the Simmons First Foundation last week for the agency’s Transition Services Program.
Congratulations to the Monticello Jr. Quiz Bowl team for placing First in the regional tournament last Friday. They will compete at State on Saturday, February 6.
