
AAC Loss Control Consultant Matt Bradshaw presents a 2024 Safety Award to Drew County Judge Jessie Griffin. Drew County scored 99 points on the 100-point grading system. Up to 15 bonus points are awarded to counties that provide a Job Hazard Analysis on more than two job classifications and that attended the May 2024 AAC Safety Conference. Drew County also had a loss ratio of 16 percent, well below the 50 percent threshold. Thirty-one Arkansas counties received the awards from the Association of Arkansas Counties (AAC) Worker’s Compensation program this year.










































On July 26, Dr. Arturo Quintero Ferrer, assistant professor of biology at UAM, presented during an educators’ panel at the 2024 San Diego Comic Convention (Comic-Con International) at the San Diego Convention Center. Comic-Con International is an annual multicultural event representing artists from around the world, with attendance exceeding 130,000 in recent years. 





The University of Arkansas Foundation, Inc. has elected Scott Saffold of Monticello, Arkansas, as chairman of the UA Foundation. His two-year term began on July 1, 2024. The board serves the University of Arkansas System.
