Overnight Fire On Barkada Road

This home located at 1594 Barkaka Road was the scene of a fire that seems to have started in the attic near a stove pipe vent.
The Monticello Fire Dept. battled the blaze until around 2 in the morning.
The owner of the home told MonticelloLive that everyone got out safely, and encouraged everyone to realize the importance of smoke detectors.
