Jeff, the vote taken asked FOR, AGAINST, or MORE INFO. I don`t believe it asked for expansion at voters expense. That must have been added after the vote. I tend to listen to Mr. Searcy on this matter. If the hospital is to generate plus dollars, then why burden the taxpayer with the entire expense? Correct me if I need it. I for one voted for more info. What would the vote results have been if it would have read (AT TAXPAYERS EXPENSE)? This vote tended to bait the results. I would love to see hospital expansion, but caution is needed here so as not to use all of egg$$$ in one basket. Thanks.

Can anyone say how many times over the past few years the hospital generated PLUS DOLLARS. Just because the company I work for has a projected yearly sales income of $10 million, that by no way means my company is going to MAKE $10 million. I would image that with insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid that the hospital has to write off alot more than what they actually take in.

Bottom line is, I don’t mind the Quorum Court making decisions for me about MY trash pick up…….I do mind them making decisions for me about MY health care. Bottom line is that the sales tax should be put to the REGISTERED VOTERS of Drew County. We can spend our hard earned money out of Drew County when we have to visit doctors out of town OR we can spend our hard earned money in Drew County. I myself prefer to keep it in Drew County.
