Steve..

Thank you so much for helping to make our kids more aware of what drinking and driving can do! I sincerely hope that they will open their eyes and see the real side of things! With proms and graduation upon us, I hope that the seniors will take this message to heart and make it a safe senior prom for themselves as well as others involved.
I know that God has given you this message to bring to the youth of today. Thanks for being so dedicated to this! Take care and May God Bless You!

Steve has been a good friend to the McDaniel family for many, many years. He has a most generous heart, willing to drop personal interest instantly for the sake of helping a friend in need. Steve is a wonderful father, putting the needs of his children ahead of his own. His perseverance over tremendous personal loss is a true testiment to his faith in Christ. His committment to MADD is another way that he puts others first. He advocates in court for those who have lost their own voice to express the wrongs done to them by drunk drivers.

Thanks Joe, for recognizing Steve in your "One Monticello Life" segment. AND, THANK YOU!, Steve for all that you do for your family, friends and this community!

I am so honored to say that I know Steve. I don't remember not knowing him...I remember the days growing up at the old skating rink, living across the street, but the memory that stands out the most is one night at our church. We were having a special that night and everyone was taking turns standing up and telling how God had blessed their lives. Steve stood up and told how he was led to God through his wonderful wife, Patricia. He told us all what a blessing she had been to his life and what a wonderful wife, mother, and friend she was and how if it wasn't for her, he would most defiantley not be there at that church right then. Several months (maybe even close to a year) go by and that horrible day comes...June 21, 1996. I remember thinking how angry I was and how senseless it all was. I'm sure Steve and his family have had many of the "angry" days but they have used their personal experience and turned it into something positive trying to help others. How wonderful that is and what a blessing they all are to us!!!

Steve, I just want to tell you how proud I am of you. I can only imagine what you have been through, but it is wonderful how you are using your experience to help others. I am proud to call you my lifelong friend!!!!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your work. It has been an honor!!!!
