I looked over at your resting place. I hate the word grave.Your flowers had fallen down I picked them up.I thought, I hope a cop doesn't come by and think I was stealing your flowers. That would be a good one for Monticellolive huh.I know you were smileing down on your son this week.R.I.P.

Hey Bud! Many years have passed since we all became friends and really more like family. We are all very proud to know you and know what a difference you have made in so many lives. I know that are many rewards waiting for you and you know we will keep MOM in line. There isn't enough space to say all we want to say. But when I was there a couple of weeks ago you were still the same as you've always been and now my pray is that this is not the end but just the beginning and God has you in Him mighty hand.

Larry..

We are praying for you, my friend. There are so many of us that have the pleasure of knowing and having you for a friend.. I still remember when you pulled me over for throwing a coke can out of the car window..I did go back and retrieve it!!! My favorite Bible verse is: CALL UNTO ME AND I WILL ANSWER THEE AND SHOW THEE GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS WHICH THOU KNOWEST NOT!!! JEREMIAH 33:3
He is the Great Physcian! I truly believe that God is going to intervene and heal you! Just Believe!!!
Take care and May God Bless..

I was a deputy prosecuting attorney when Larry joined the force. I always found him very pleasant to work with, polite, considerate and very hard working. Larry your in my prayers, call me if I can do anything.

I have to agree with every one about Larry... I know there have been times when I have had questions about certian charges or laws and no matter the time , night or day, I could call Larry and he would answer my questions without complaint. He is also the person who never says no.

Larry, do you still have your super cool necklace? I still have mine!!!

Love you and just remember you can call me day or night if you need anything, you are in our thoughts and prayers!

I can't say that I know Larry as well as many others do but I can say that what I've read so far is very true. The few times I've been around him were full of laughs! Larry doesn't seem to become overwhelmed with the small things like many of us do in our daily lives.

I can recall a time when I passed Larry’s office door in a sort of panic looking for a pair of bolt cutters….random I know!! He could have easily said he didn’t have any and left it at that but within 5 minutes he had a pair delivered to the Police Department for me. I honestly feel that most of us do not take the time out of what we are doing to really help someone else and Larry is a prime example of what we all should be doing.

Larry has also had a huge impact on my husband whom he considers a dear friend. A common phrase around the house these days is “You just don’t understand what that man has done for me.” Throughout my husband’s law enforcement career Larry has taken a special role as teacher and friend in his life and I can’t thank him enough for that.

It is amazing how the community and law enforcement family has pulled together in support of Larry and this crisis. I hope it can be an example to everyone.

Larry, you are truly a special person and given blessings to others and didn’t even realize it. We pray comfort and strength surrounds your family.

Im a little late in relplying to this but i jsut wanted to say that my uncle larry is the best! i love him so much and he always makes me laugh. living in conway i'm not able to be there for him like i want to but every time i'm home i'm always there to give him his lil lin hugs as he calls it. uncle larry has been a part of my life since i can remember. even though he isnt really my uncle i still consider him one. uncle larry is a stubborn person so i think he is really going to show those doctors that he can live to be 100! we always joke and pick and make fun of each other so to see him sick and not always energetic makes me upset. he is in God's hands and only God knows what uncle larry's life holds. i just pray for him every day and hope that he will overcome this awful thing that is taking place. we went fishing the other day and even though he did better than i did i still enjoyed every min of it. when i was younger he used to always go shopping with us and be our bag boy, he's always a great person to have around. i know that he means alot to a lot of people. oh yea and when i was younger he let us give him a make over he is a very beautiful girl. haha

Uncle larry, i love you and i'm always here for you! your my hero and i cant wait to give you lil lin hugs everday. hold in there your a very strong man and i know you can do it! i love you very much!!

I met Larry when I had been in law enforcement about seven years, around February 2001. My first day at the police department, Larry was one of the first people I met. He was friendly, helpful and comical. Nothing has changed.

Many people dont't understand what a police officer goes through during the course of his or her career. Putting people, especially children, in body bags, photographing bruises on a childs neck, getting bit while breaking up a fight, etc. Those things take a toll on ones ability to joke, play or find the lighter side of most situations. The constant 20/20 hindsight by some in society doesnt help either. With that being said, to have someone like Larry as a friend is a blessing. Larry has made me and everyone around him laugh at some stressful point in our jobs and for that second, whatever was bothering us went away. Talk about God sending an angel..

The Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, which later merged I guess you could say with the ATF had a saying among it's Agents after someone had proved themselves beyond question while doing their job- That saying was 'You are good enough to ride with', making reference to the old western lawmen who rode horseback. Larry my friend, You are good enough to ride with.

Never involved in politics, honest, straightforward and helpful under every circumstance. People, much less friends, like you are hard, hard to come by.

I will finish my post with this- My favorite quote from Matthew Chapter 5, verse 9. 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.' Never forget that and never forget to press the fight, no matter what.

We love you and may you find yourself surrounded by God's goodwill and strength at all times.

Larry has been at the police department since I started in 1998. Larry is always full of fun and smiles and I can remember him pulling pranks even when I was an aux. officer. I remember what Larry said to me when he found out I was going to be hired full time. "Have you lost your mind". He said it with his usual big grin, but then said "Im serious". That may be the only time he told me he was serious about anything other than work. Larry is the type person who doesnt have the word no in his vocabulary. He will even come out to help you on his weekends that he is not on call. I just want to tell Larry that I am praying for him and that Christ will keep you wrapped in his LOVE. Now is the time for everyone that Larry never told NO to return the favor!

First, I want to say Trish, you did a great job on the story! Larry came in to my life when he became a part of my sister-in-law's (Trish) extended family. Larry has been a joy to get to know and I am so blessed to have him in my life and my son's life. Larry, you will always be very special to me, Steven, and Dallas. You'll always be our Uncle Moosehead. We love you and we are praying for you every day. I know you are well taken care of, but if there is ever anything we can do, please call. Love ya,
