February 17th, 2008 by Joe BurgessMiyoshi (Leonard) Smith is the Drew County 911 Coordinator, dealing with mapping and addresses. She has been with Drew County for 8 years. Miyoshi considers the best part of her job to be meeting and serving the citizens of Drew County.Â

Give it a try, her office is next door to Judge Lampkin’s.
Thanks, Miyoshi Smith, for sharing your smile, and your One Monticello Life.

I can’t say enough “good things” about Miyoshi – a great employee, a diligent worker, a wonderful mother, a dedicated parent; a sincere Christian – I could go on and on. I know she is also highly regarded as a wonderful daughter/granddaughter/ sister, niece and mom by her family too.

Marchelle (okay Miyoshi),
Congratulations girl! You deserve this recongition. Like Mrs. Lou Lambert said, “They could not have chosen a better person to honor”. Your dedication to your family, your church and your community shows in your day-to-day life. I admire the way you support your children in “everything” (have you ever missed a game or parent-teacher-conference?), you are a “SUPER MOM”. Girl, just keep pressing on and all your goals and dreams will obtained. You know, I think back to about 10 years ago when I became acquainted with you and I’ve realized that you have been the same from day one…THANKS! Again, Congratulations!

I am a former Drew County resident who just discovered this site. It’s a great way to keep up with what’s going on “back home.” I was pleasantly surprised to see Miyoshi (I know her as Marchell) being profiled. She has always been a sweet, sincere person and even when I ran into her about 2-3 years ago after having not seen her in several years, she was still that same sweet, friendly person. Her beautiful personality has not changed one bit. Just wanted to say that she’s an awesome choice for Monticello Live. Congrats, Sweetie!
Blessings 2 U!
