H & H Construction from North Little Rock, Arkansas, has finished construction of a new boat dock located at Lake Monticello. The total cost of the boat dock was $42,750.00.
Due to wind damage from Hurricane Gustav in the fall of 2008, the previous boat dock was damaged and unsafe.
Drew County was declared a dock and the safe and well-constructed design that we now have.Â

New Boat Dock for Lake Monticello, Announced at City Council
A new floating boat dock, like this one at Lake Chicot, will be installed at south end of Lake Monticello, in the near future.
The new dock will rise and fall with the water levels, and was recommended by the Game & Fish Commission.
FEMA will cover 75% of the cost, since this will replace the old dock, which was destroyed by a storm last year., and the state will re-imburse 12.5% of the cost after construction.
Krystal Harper, an American National Government Class student from UAM, attended the meeting, and is shown here visiting with Mayor Joe Rogers, and Alderman Beverly Hudson, after the meeting adjourned.
