National Juried Cup Show at UAM
Published by UAM News April 20th, 2007 in UAM News.
The second annual National Juried Cup Show is currently on exhibit through May 11 in the Taylor Library and Technology Center Gallery at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
According to Scott Lykens, assistant professor of art, the annual exhibition of ceramic vessels is designed to showcase ceramic artists from across the nation with their interpretation of the concept of “cup.”
This year’s juror, Matt Long, an assistant professor of art at the University of Mississippi, accepted 44 cups out of 212 entries. He has been a practicing ceramic artist for 22 years and works primarily with salt-fired bottles.
“This exhibition is a unique opportunity for our students and community to see what is happening in the field of ceramics nationally,” said Lykens.

Hi,
I was so excited and honored to see my cup displayded on this site. I just want to let you know that there was a misprint on my name. It should be Doman instead of Duncan.
Thanks,
Carrie Doman
Hi again,
Is there a site that has images of all of the cups in the show? I would love to see them all.
Carrie
Carrie, I am not aware of a site like that. We’ve corrected your name in the article. Sorry for the misprint. It was sent to us as a news release.
