Update-Son Shoots and Kills Father in Eudora-Case Closed

According to published reports, the 16 year-old was acting in self-defense when the shots were fired.
The deceased, Roy Minniefield, Sr., had threatened his son and a friend with the use of “unlawful deadly force”, which justifies the shooting.
The investigation was performed by the Arkansas State Police.

Eudora Police, as well as the Chicot County Sheriff’s Dept. are investigating the reported shooting of a man, Roy Minifield, who was allegedly shot and killed by his 16 year old son.
According to reports, the shooting took place Tuesday morning, around 7:30.
The Arkansas State Police are supervising the investigation.
The victim’s body is being sent to the state crime lab, awaiting an autopsy.
The suspect is jailed at the Chicot County jail.
The suspect is being held at the Chicot County jail. The body is being transported to the state medical examiners office .
