HandcuffsAccording to Lt. Jason Akers of the Tenth Drug Task Force, agents arrested multiple suspects throughout the judicial district on various drug charges.

In an undercover operation in Dermott, Task Force Agents, assisted by Dermott Police, arrested Brandon Lawson, age 39, and Lawson’s wife, Shanna Brook Lawson, age 37, after an undercover operation resulted in Agents purchasing prescription narcotics from Brandon Lawson and methamphetamine from Shanna Brook Lawson at a business that the couple ran in Dermott.

A Monticello man was arrested by the Drug Task Force after Task Force Agents intercepted a phone call from Thomas Dale Sass, age 52, in which Sass was attempting to sell methamphetamine to what he thought was another dealer but was actually a Drug Task Force Agent. Sass was charged with Possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver. He received a bond in the amount of $25,000.

In an investigation spanning Drew, Chicot and Desha counties, Task Force Agents made what Akers calls a “very significant” arrest for methamphetamine in Desha County. According to Akers, Agents executed a search warrant at the residence of Graham Pamplin, age 47, at his residence in Pickens, Arkansas. Pursuant to the search warrant, Agents located methamphetamine with an estimated street value of approximately $7,000.00, over $4,000.00 in cash as well as handguns and rifles. Agents also arrested Rebecca Knight, 47, Roxanne Scott, age 29 and Arthur Leon Walters, Jr., age 39.
