According to Lt. Jason Akers, the 10th Drug Task Force was active throughout the district recently with numerous arrests, including search warrants and arrests leading to the confiscation of methamphetamine.

Agents arrested Hubert Williamson, age 50, of Eudora after agents searched his residence and located ice methamphetamine, Oxycontin tablets, hydrocodone tablets, marijuana and digital scales, all packaged for sale. Agents also seized over $2,300.00 in suspected drug proceeds. Williamson faces charges of possession of schedule 1, 2, 4 & 6 narcotics, all with purpose to deliver as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

Agents also arrested Rodney Moore, age 35, of Lake Village after Agents claim Moore sold a “significant” amount of methamphetamine and was arrested in possession of the money used by Agents to purchase the narcotics. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

Agents, along with Bradley County Deputies, also arrested Gerry Lephiew, age 44, of Warren after a search warrant at Lephiew’s residence resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine found in Lephiew’s pants pocket. Agents also located scales and used, uncovered syringes in the home, which according to Akers highlights the dangers faced by law enforcement officers addressing the methamphetamine epidemic that the State of Arkansas is facing. Lephiew was charged with possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver.

Agents also arrested a Louisiana resident identified as Lloyd Allen, age 65, on a traffic stop, in which Allen, upon being stopped, opened his door and reached for a loaded firearm in the door pocket of the vehicle he was operating. A Task Force Agent was able to take control of the firearm and a search of the vehicle Allen was driving yielded approximately 3 grams of ice methamphetamine. Allen was charged with possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver and simultaneously possessing drugs and a firearm.
