MonticelloLive banner submissions open
Published by Jeff March 9th, 2007 in Site.If you’d like to try your hand at local photography, MonticelloLive is accepting photos to be used as our site banner. As we prepare to head into fall, we’ll be changing banner backgrounds frequently and would like to offer you the opportunity to feature some of your work.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Photos need to be 1000 x 200 in dimension.
- Email your banner to joe [at] monticellolive.com.
- Make sure that your photo is of something recognizably “Monticello.” (i.e., if it’s of blooming flowers, it needs to be shot in a way that people can tell where it was taken.)
We’ll be choosing the banners and using them. Attribution will be given, unless you’d prefer to remain anonymous. Simply tell us that in the submission email.
Good luck and happy shooting!

oooh I love a challenge……..
This reminds me of a suggestion I heard just yesterday that I would like to share with everyone:
“The Mayor should propose a “Clean-Up Monticello” Competition. The resident(not business) with the most improved property in the year 2007 would receive free Water/Sewer/Garbage service for one year. Second place for 6 months and third place for 3 months. Have graphical proof of the property condition prior to modification and after. Residents would submit their applications at the end of the year and City Council Members could decide in their first meeting in 2008.”
Now THAT is an attempt to get the community involved!!!
