Monticello Weather-Noon Report
Published by Joe Burgess January 31st, 2008 in Weather. After working 12 years in the field of radio broadcasting (years ago), it just seems natural to be doing a “Noon Weather Report”.
There are reports of ice and snow falling in Conway, Mountain Home, and Jonesboro, among many other north Arkansas areas, but still it looks like Drew County is only going to get thunderstorms, and they should be working their way out of the area this afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the central parts of the state, a Winter Weather Warning for the northern sections, but with temperatures remaining as forecast, dipping only into the 30-32 degree range, should leave the Monticello unaffected by winter weather.
As of noon, the rain has slowed, but radar still shows heavy rain at Monroe, La, and Pine Bluff, but we seem to be in between sections of the front.
