Monticello Man to Serve 24 Hours for Old Charges
Published by Joe Burgess April 9th, 2008 in Police /Legal.Benny Roark, of Monticello was sentenced by Circuit Judge Sam Pope, to serve 24 hours of time in jail, and to perform 120 hours of community service, as a result of a revocation hearing on Monday.
The sentence is in response to a January 29th incident, where Roark was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, and also to be in possession of alcohol.
The original charges stem from a 2002 conviction for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

I agree, but it’s funny how karma always comes back around…
Whats up with this??? Why just 24 hours??? I feel like he should spend his sentence since he doesn’t abide by his parole requirements. Thats why we have courts and orders, I thought.
There are always loopholes…one can only speculate. Maybe his PO didn’t revoke him.
