Monticello Man Faces Meth Delivery Charges
Published by Joe Burgess December 12th, 2007 in Police /Legal.According to Lt. Jason Akers of the Tenth Drug Task Force, a joint investigation between the Drew County Sheriff’s Department
and the Drug Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Monticello man last week.
Greg Shelby, age 46, was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his residence and charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, methaphetamine.
Additionally officers seized scales believed to be used in weighing narcotics as well as currency believed to be drug proceeds. Two other Drew County residents were arrested in connection with the investigation but that information will be released at a later date as those investigations are still active.
Shelby was taken for a first appearance/ bond hearing on Monday December 10, 2007 where he received a bond in the amount of 50,000.
Drew County Deputies, along with Monticello Police and Drug Task Force Agents participated in the investigation and search warrant execution.
