Andrew Williams, a recent Monticello resident, was arrested and charged with “theft of property over $2500″ by Tucson, Arizona authorities following the theft of a Chevy HHI vehicle from Monticello, on February 8.

Williams, originally from Florida, had reportedly been staying with a Monticello resident, prior to the vehicle being taken without their knowledge, and leaving the state.

According to Criminal Investigator John Dement, the vehicle was listed with the National Crime Information Center, and was stopped by Arizona Police, who then arrested Williams.

A Monticello officer will be leaving tomorrow to travel to Arizona, to pick up Williams.
