According to Lt. Jason Akers, Supervisory Agent with the Tenth Drug Task Force, a Monticello man was arrested by Task Force Agents and Monticello Police last Friday on felony drug charges.

According to Akers, Christopher Alexander, age 18, of Monticello was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance, marijuana as well as a new charge of possession of marijuana, after Agents and Officers located him near Texas Street in the back yard of a residence.

Alexander was arrested and transported to the Drew County Detention Center. He was later taken before Monticello District Judge Kenneth Harper where he received a bond of 10,000.00
