The Monticello Junior High Choir and Madrigals directed by Mr. Michael Binns attended the South East Region Choir competition at UAM on Friday. These groups sung before a panel of three judges, the results are as follow: 

Monticello Junior High Choir Scores: 94, 94, 95 for a 1st Division rating and plaque
Monticello Junior Madrigals Scores:   95, 96, 97, for a 1st Division and plaque

The Monticello Senior High Choirs and Ensembles attended the South East Region Choir Competition at UAM on Saturday. These groups sung before a panel of three judges, the results are as follows:

Monticello Senior High Choir: 90, 96, 96, for a 1st Division rating and plaque
Monticello Senior Madrigals: 94, 97, 99 for a 1st Division rating and plaque
Monticello Male Ensemble:  93, 94, 97 for a 1st Division rating and plaque
Monticello ladies Ensemble 85, 87, 90 for a 2nd Division rating

All four of the Monticello High School Groups will now compete on the State Level of completion. Again congratulations to Monticello Public School Junior and Senior choirs and Ensembles and their director Mr. Michael Binns, Sr.
