Update: School’s on. With no word from school officials and little to no accumulation of sleet or snow overnight, schools will be  “open for business today.”

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, a period of steady sleet began falling over Monticello and Drew County. School officials visited today to decide when to call off school should winter weather cause roadways to become hazardous. Stay tuned to MonticelloLive for the latest!
