What was the question and what was the answer to the question?
I was getting ready to go to church, so i didn’t catch all of the story. The question dealt with whether there were any decreased imunity problems, that could be caused by the prolonged, or repeated, use of antibiotics.
The answer was “yes, there can be.” Dr. Rosenthal said that when “bad” bacteria is eliminated, sometimes “good” bacteria is damaged also.
The doctor recomended specific vegitables, (leguimes?), and also non-processed wheat.

Hi. Having taken a lot of antibiotics the last few years I was curious. Knowing that antibiotics also destroy beneficial bacteria, etc., I asked Dr Rosenfeld on Sunday Housecall if there were a way to “restore” some of the good ones or help in the formation of new ones. Rosenfeld said there was, and mentioned “probiotic” foods such as yogurt, legumes, fruits and oats. These evidently contain oligosacharides (?) and is also available in supplement form, according to the good doctor.
As he didn’t mention turkey, ham or chicken and dressing, I plan to start AFTER Thanksgiving. The sweet potatoes should help, though.

Hmm. Maybe an “oligosacharide sampler” or “probiotic salad” would work at the restaurant.
