Missing Man Located by Sheriff, Friday Evening
August 23rd, 2010 by Joe BurgessFriday afternoon, around 4:30, an elderly Drew County man was reported as missing, by a neighbor, to the Drew County Sheriff’s Dept., who along with the Drew County Search & Rescue Team and members of the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, responded to begin searching for the man, in the area near Lake Wallace, in southeast Drew County.
The man had left his residence Friday morning with his dog and a 4-wheeler, and hadn’t returned.
According to Emergency Management Coordinator Bill Horn, while searching the area, Sheriff Mark Gober located the missing man, who had been under a barn, at 6:12 pm. The man’s 4-wheeler had broken down, and left him stranded
Sources at the scene reported that the man was dehydrated, and suffered from other minor issues.
