Corey Barnett, age 19, was found just before 5 a.m. Sunday morning, after having been left on a float trip down the Saline River Saturday, and was reported as missing around 11:30 p.m.

Barnett seemed to be in good condition, and was found a short distance from the bank of the river. 

He had underestimated the travel time that would be required to float from HWY 278 to the Ozmet Bluff area.

The Drew County Search & Rescue Team, Sheriff’s Dept., members of the Monticello Fire Dept., Game & Fish Commission, as well as other helped in the search.  The Bradley County Search & Rescue also were helpful in the search, with the equipment that they provided.
