MIS Showing School Spirit—For Benchmark Tests
Published by Joe Burgess April 11th, 2008 in Monticello School News.Everyone is used to seeing “school spirit”, but when it is about tests and grades, it’s even more impressive.
Monticello Intermediate School students have made and posted signs around town, like the one above from City Hall, and the one below, which was posted on the exit door at Piggly Wiggly, reminding the community that the “Benchmark” tests are taking place, and to encourage students to “do your best” as the bag below says.
Another creative way to show support was to “decorate” shopping bags, like the ones shown here, being displayed by Piggly Wiggly Manager, Robert Dorsett.
Be sure to listen to KHBM for the students telling about “the benchmark” on the radio. They’re doing their own commercials. Now that’s impressive.
Our best wishes go out to all students being tested, but especially to MIS, for showing their enthusiasm.
