MidSOUTH To Offer Continuing Education Workshop

MidSOUTH Monticello is pleased to offer the following continuing education event for September.

Depression in Mothers during Early Childhood

This workshop will increase participants’ knowledge about maternal depression and its impact on children. Participants will learn how depression can interfere with parenting quality and increase the risk of children developing mental, behavioral, and social problems. Participants will learn current best practices in identification and treatment of maternal depression and prevention of negative effects on children. This interactive session will provide opportunities for developing local strategies to build capacities to work with families of young children with depression.

September 27, 2011 9:00-12:00 OR 1:00-4:00
