Students from Mrs. Sharon Chappell’s Science class are the first high school class to use the ipod’s from the EAST lab.

The district received the grant because of the innovation and quality programs that have been started and developed in the Monticello EAST Lab.

Not only does the EAST Lab provide innovative ideas to the students about the use of technology in workforce the program provides ideas on how technology can be used in the teaching and learning process.

The grant provides the district with funding to try promising ideas in education.  The cart holds 30 ipod classics.

Monticello High School is the first school in Arkansas to actually receive one of the new state-of-the-art carts.

EAST students are collaborating with teachers to create podcasts which are then loaded on the ipods and will soon be uploaded to a website for students and parents to view at home.
