MHS Forensics Team competes at Little Rock Central
November 8th, 2009 by Monticello SchoolsEight members of the MHS Forensics Team competed at Little Rock Central High School. Over 900 entries were competing in 15 events. This was a record-breaking number of student entries for this tournament.
Although the MHS team was small in numbers, they experienced much success.

Reshanae Crift advanced to 4th place in Prose Interpretation Finals. Her success qualifies her for the Tournament of Champions in April. Brice Pace competed in legislative debate and earned enough points to advance to Super Congress. Terry Jenkins and Devin West advanced to semi-finals in Improvised Duet Acting (IDA).
Natalie Skinner also competed in legislative debate and earned excellent scores. Superior Rankings were earned by Reshanae Crift (Prose) and Terry Jenkins & Devin West (IDA). Excellent Rankings were earned by Terry Jenkins (Poetry), Devin West (Prose), Rebecka Bennett (Extemporaneous Speaking), Reshanae Crift (storytelling) and Raven Miller and Devin West (Mime).
Others earning good rankings and 4th places in preliminary rounds were Raven Miller (storytelling), Chyanne Craft (poetry) and partners Chyanne Craft and Reshanae Crift (IDA).
All members earned points toward membership or higher degree status in the National Forensics League. The team is coached by Debbie Ashcraft and Christy Armbrust.
