MES Celebrates Gains Through APPLES ProgramsMarch 17th, 2017 by Monticello Schools
Monticello Elementary School is celebrating the tremendous gains in their students reading, spelling and writing performance through the multi-sensory APPLES (Adaptive Programs Providing Learning Experiences) in first grade classrooms.
Krystal Shipp and Haley Patrick presented their student data, letters from parents expressing their praises for the program along with a short video to the Monticello School Board at their monthly meeting on March 14. The video showed students highly engaged and excited about learning. Because of the program’s success, MES has the opportunity to train three more teachers in the summer of 2017. This will allow MES to open three more APPLE classrooms for the 2017-18 school year.
