I lost three very special people in the wars. In Vietnam: Hampton Allen Etheridge and Paul Alvin Harrison. They were my classmates. Then in Iraq: Russell Lee Collier. All were from Crossett. These men sacrificed their lives for us! All three are buried at Arlington National Cemetary.
Nan,
This weekend we are honoring Allen Etheridge in Rogers. Susan (widow), Susan (sister), Sam (brother) will be here with Sonja Doss from Crossett High School, seven West Point Classmates and spouses and 23 members of Susan (widow) family. Dick Merridith has sent several high school items–pictures, newspapers etc… We are all very proud of him and will never forget Al or his laugh.
