The Friends of the Library organization is currently holding it’s annual membership drive. The group is essential to the library, providing funding for new books, furnishings and other neccessities that aren’t in the budget.

Along with supporting the library, a great cause, Friends receive a newsletter twice a year and are welcomed to an annual meeting in November to hear an Arkansas author speak.

Secretary Marilyn Weih related that there are different levels of membership, all very important and appreciated by the library:

• $1 - Student
• $3- Senior Citizen
• $5-Individual
• $10-Family
• $15-Supporting Member
• $25-Business & Civic Member
• $50-Patron
• $100-Benefactor

If you are interested at becoming a Friend of the Library at any level, please stop by and fill out the simple form and make your donation. The Monticello Branch Library is located at the corner of Pine and Main streets. Please call the library at 367-8385 if you have questions or need the form mailed.
