This is a portion of the MEDC report as it was presented to the group by MEDC director Truman Hamilton.

I have had several complaints filed about neglected property and abandoned vehicles.  Several letters have been mailed to the renters and property owners and we have had some success at getting some of these lots cleaned and mowed. We have had one property owner agree to remove an old house that has become too dilapidated to be repaired. This process takes a great deal of time. Several of the complaints have been without merit but I have to locate the property and make that determination and this takes time also.
