This is a portion of the MEDC report as it was recently presented to the group by MEDC director Truman Hamilton.

Tuesday June 24^th I went to Little Rock for a training session for grant reporting of the grant we received from the Arkansas Department of Heritage. We got a $20,000.00 grant to repair the exterior of our building. This is in addition to the earlier grant that we received for $25,000.00 that has yet to be utilized.

The city did get notice that a $20,000 grant has been awarded toward the purchase of a quick response rescue truck for the fire department. I made application for this grant through the USDA. A $30,000 state grant is still pending for this vehicle.

I have not yet heard anything from NOAA about the early warning siren system grant application or another grant application toward the purchase of a bin truck for the city solid waste department.
