MEDC Report-Farmers’ Market
Published by Joe Burgess May 12th, 2008 in MEDC.This is a portion of the MEDC report as it was presented to the group by MEDC director Truman Hamilton.
I inspected the sheds used for the Farmers’ Market. At the large shed on the south side, there are a couple of boards that need replaced: one in the walk near the top of the steps at the west end and one that is a part of a table top.
There is a small amount of trash and debris that is scattered around the property. The light fixtures remain. At the large shed with the coolers, quite a lot of vandalism has occurred. All the glass windows are broken, the doors have been broken and the fixtures have all been removed from the restrooms except one sink that apparently was broken when it was removed from the wall. Desks and other fixtures have been vandalized. The walk-in coolers are locked and appear secure. The south shed has a large amount of what appears to be rummage sale leftovers. All the romex wiring has been cut from this shed also. Overall the property isn’t in bad shape.
