Early voting Began Tuesday, with a total of 81 votes being cast.
Wednesday, there were 63 more ballots cast, then 95 more on Thursday, with 105 added Friday. 146 were cast on Monday.

The special election will choose the next mayor of Monticello,Who will fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of former mayor Zack Tucker, and serve until December 2018.
2 former mayors are seeking the office, Democrat David Anderson and independent Joe Rogers. Also entering the race as a political newcomer is Ronny Carr.
