Mayor’s Monthly Report, March, 2008

On February 21, Mayor Rogers attended a Lion’s Club meeting at Western Sizzling in Monticello.

On February 22, Mayor Rogers attended an Arkansas Targeted Industries luncheon with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

On February 27, Mayor Rogers attended an Open House at the Drew Professional Services Clinic welcoming the new doctors.

Also on February 27, Mayor Rogers attended a Southeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority Facility Meeting.

On February 29, Mayor Rogers attended a public meeting discussing issues with the pool at the John F. Gibson University Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Mayor Rogers attended the Twenty for the Future trip to Washington D.C. March 4- March 6.

On March 13, Mayor Rogers attended a SEAEDD meeting in Pine Bluff with the County Judge Damon Lampkin and MEDC Director Truman Hamilton.
 
In addition:
 
Repaired sewer problems in Western Pines on Center Street, East Oakland Street, South Main Street, East Jackson Street, Drew Central School, West Jackson Street, Highway 83 North, East College Street, and at Maria Drive
 
Repaired the traffic light on the square and on Highway 425 & Highway 83 South
 
Repaired a manhole on College Street
 
Repaired a water leak on Guthrie Street, South Edwards Street, Glenwood Drive, East Trotter Street, North Gabbert Street, West Trotter Street, Church Street , West Gaines Street, and on East Shelton Street
 
Cleaned out the culverts on East College Street and Lincoln Street
 
Graded the roads at the Lake Road, Lake Level, Huckleberry Lane, and at the Transfer Station
 
Picked up leaves in the ditches on East Jackson Street
 
Replaced a new valve at a water leak on East McCloy Street
 
Cut back limbs on East McCloy Street, Trotter Street, Boyd Street, Barkada Road, and North Hyatt Street
 
Replaced new valves at the Lacey/Ladelle Pump House
 
Picked up paper at the Monticello Municipal Airport, West Gate, East Shelton, Market Street, North Cooper Street, Hillcrest Street, South Maple Street, and on South Gabbert Street
 
Patched the road on Deerfield Drive and Bowser Road
 
Removed vines off of light poles in Glenwood Drive
 
40 special pick-ups this month
