  1. lookout says:

    way to go judge (not).

  2. concerned female citizen says:

Yay. Another person dangerous to the women of Drew County let loose in the streets. If there is enough evidence to arrest, there should be no bond for suspected rapists.

  3. SH says:

All you have to do is be accused of something with little evidence in order to be charged. We might want to remember that one is innocent until proven guilty. I pray for the man and the alleged victim.

  4. Just another Reader says:

I hate it for her. And also hate it for him. One problem with people in a small town is that when a person says an act of violence they are automatically put on death row. Knowing a lil bit of the story, maybe we should wait until the facts are put out there and not just go on such a small story. Joe does a great job but remember there is only so much he can legally post

  5. lookout says:

if he is guilty enough to be arrested then he should be guilty enough to stay in jail until proven innocent.

  6. CHRIS says:

if he did not do what he is accused of, and she made up the story. how much does her bond need to be, and how many years should she face?

  7. Angel Eyes says:

Hey ,that is so true lookout i belive also i think if he is guilty enough to be put in jail .He should stay there until he stands before the judge and sentence to what he dersves and the time he is getting .

  8. cathy says:

some girls cry rape at the drop of a hat. some men do not undrestand the word no. there is a lot to know before you hang the man. there is a lot to know before you pass judgement on the girl. so foind out these things before you decide. i feel that if he is guilty then he shoiuld spend as much time in prison as the girl takes to get over the troma. unlese he has done this before then let him stay for life. However if it is found that the girl is lieing then she should have time.

  9. CHRIS says:

if rape is a felony and punishable by registeriting as a sex offender and filing a false police report is a felony. then she should be punished and required to register as a sex offender after time served (whenever that is the case)

  10. Wait til it goes to court and see how many lives he has affected!!! This is only the start of it!!!!! To all the females out there, be careful and pay attention to your surroundings, friends and friends of friends!!!!

  11. This girl would not cry rape!!!! Why would someone want to make up something, to ruin a person’s life!!!! The victim always suffers the most and why??? Like SH said innocent, until proven guilty, (NOT)???????

  12. Another Monticello Resident says:

Don’t judge anyone until all the facts are known!! What if you were the one being judged? EVERYONE has the right to a fair trial and be considered innocent UNTIL proven guilty.

And, YES, women do cry rape when it’s not… Why? To seek attention, revenge, guilt for having sex with someone they shouldn’t have, do I need to keep going? The motives behind why a woman would lie about rape are extensive.

And, by the way, this comment is written by a woman…..

  13. I don’t know of any rape victims (not including # of victims that never reported or came forward ) that cried rape while unconscious? THE ACCUSED is aware of his actions. Justice has begun with the felony rape charge. Bail? Justice does not accuse defendants on “heresay” but God will judge and punish the wicked and foolish.

  14. Thats right says:

I don’t think a rappiest should get out of jail… They should stay in there untill they ROT. Its wrong from them to go out in hurt other people familys and even there own family, they should’nt be living in this world if they are one, they don’t need to mess up anyones else llife just because they don’t have one.
