According to Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. investigator, Rick Rausch, a Beard Hill resident noticed earlier this week that a Beretta 22 pistol had been stolen, since he last saw it, during the past 3-4 months.

Investigations and interviews this week led to the arrest of Tyler F. Stewart, age 18, who stole and then sold the handgun.

A bench warrant was issued for Stewart’s arrest, who has been charged with theft of property, theft of a firearm, and residential burglary.

His bond was set at $15,000, and he has since bonded out.
